Additional Tours & Events 2010

1. Crop Circle Coach Tour - Friday 30th July 9.30am - 4.30pm - Includes buffet lunch.

There can be no substitute for a first-hand visit to the crop circles. Experiencing their enigmatic spaces and spending time discovering how the circles affect you and your emotions can be truly rewarding. This is an opportunity to visit the crop circles as part of a group with experienced researchers as your guides and makes a great introduction to the phenomenon. There will be limited seats on the coach so please book early!

Visit two-three crop circles; transport, guides and payments to farmers are included in the price. Transport will be an air conditioned coach with WC. Also included in the ticket price is a buffet lunch served at Coronation Hall, Alton Barnes.

Your guides will be Dan Vidler and Gary King (experienced tour guides and speakers during the weekend)

"There is nothing like taking your first step onto the laid stems from the standing crop. The place inside is like no other, and every one is different, unique and memorable. Your life may not be the same again because crop circles are a true mystery and the questions don't go away! We will be visiting two-three crop circles where we will explore the features at ground level and have the chance to experience this mystifying phenomenon first hand. Walk the many pathways and explore the labyrinth of overlapping crop. Time to contemplate, meditate or investigate will enable each personal encounter with the crop circles to develop and defy expectation!" Dan Vidler.

Limited places. Please book early!
Price £45.00 (£35.00 tour + £10.00 lunch)

We pick up at the Bear Hotel (next door to our venue) at 9.30am sharp, and drop back there at 4.30pm (approx).

2. Night-Watch/ Crop Circle Vigil - Saturday 31st July 12.00am - 6.00am

Night watching: Sleeping, Dreaming, Discerning and Discussing a Mystery

Many strange things have been seen and experienced in the Pewsey Vale at night, in and around the fields and crop circles. The whole place takes on a different ambience when the sun sets. Crop Circles most often appear at night between darkness and sunrise and many researchers have at some point taken part in night-time vigils overlooking the fields.

Spend the night out in the open at various locations in the Wiltshire countryside overlooking the enigmatic Pewsey Vale as part of a night-time vigil with a small group of open-minded companions. Explore dream, consciousness and ritual landscape components of the crop circle phenomenon. Please bring your binoculars and cameras! If circumstances allow we will be taking the group into a crop circle during the night.

We meet for introductions before going out to the watch site and then return indoors for warm refreshments and a debrief before everyone departs to get some well-earned sleep!

Your guides will be Jonathan DeVierville, Ross Holcomb and Cameron Broughton

Very Limited places. Please book early!
Price £30.00

The night-watch does not finish until 6.00am on Sunday morning. However our Sunday lecture programme begins at 9.30am - allowing for no sleep! If you would like to get some sleep on Sunday morning, you can book a half-day ticket which grants access to the Sunday lecture programme after the lunch break from 2.00pm onwards. This half-day ticket is available only to those attending the Night-Watch.

You will need to make your own way to and from the rendezvous point. A 20 minute drive from the conference venue. We will supply a map!

3. Conference Dinner - Sunday 1st August 8.00pm until late

(The Conference Dinner replaces our Speakers Supper)

If you don't want the weekend to end, or you would just like more time to chat about the crop circles and the issues raised at the conference, then please join us for our hugely popular post conference meal. Hosted by the conference organisers and with many speakers and researchers in attendance, this is a rare opportunity for discussion, networking and, of course, fond farewells.

Anyone attending last year's event will know that we had radically outgrown our local restaurant dinner venue. However, our move to the Corn Exchange will now allow us to hold our dinner in our old venue - the beautiful and elegant Assembly Room in the nearby Town Hall - a splendid room with period Georgian decor. There will be a delicious three course meal (Starter/Main Course/Dessert/plus coffee) with a keen emphasis on great food served in a relaxing and informal atmosphere. There will also be a cash bar for those wanting a drink with their meal.

Please click here for a printable detailed menu.

When the meal finishes and coffees are served please take-up the opportunity to move around the tables for some further late night debate. This event is always great fun and is the perfect way to unwind after an intense and absorbing conference.

Note: There will be a number of vegetarian options, but this meal will not be suitable for those with wheat or nut allergies, or for those who prefer a vegan diet. Please contact us if you have any specific questions regarding the menu.

Limited places. Please book early!
Price £24.00
